What is Logger Pro?
The software Logger Pro, developed by Oregon-based Company Vernier Software & Technology, provides users with a program dedicated to data collection and analysis. The program requires compatible data sources in order to execute its data collection function. Data sources can be LabQuest, LabPro or Go! Link (with Vernier sensor). It also requires at least one sensor or one spectrometer connected to the data source. Compatible sensors include Stainless Steel Temperature Probe, Vernier Go! Temp, Go! Motion, and Wireless Dynamics Sensor System; while spectrometers include Vernier spectrometer, Garmin GPS and Ohaus Balances. The program works in conjunction with the user interfaces of the data sources.
The program is capable of collecting data from multiple sources. When the program is launched, it will scan the computer to identify data sources connected to the machine. Once the sources have been identified, an icon for each device will be displayed on the user interface, directly under the toolbar. It can be set to automatically collect data once the sources have been detected. As data are being gathered, information is presented in graph form. When new data are inputted, the graph automatically integrates the new information. This means that as data are being inputted on the fields, the program works simultaneously with the user, applying changes instantly onto the graph. ![]() File types supported by Logger Pro
